About Morgane

I practice traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture, Tui Na massage and herbal medicine in Carshalton Beeches. My practice was in West London for 15 years. In January 202I, I decided to focus on my Carshalton practice. I serve clients from Sutton, Wallington, Coulsdon, Hackbridge, Mitcham, Colliers Wood, Wimbledon, Morden, Purley, wider Surrey and London, but many of my clients still come from various parts of London to see me. A few even come from abroad! I have a  passion  for helping people regain their health and manage their conditions.

I studied Chinese medicine for five years and have a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Acupuncture and post-graduate diplomas in Tui Na massage and in Chinese herbal medicine.  After finishing my studies, I furthered my training by work-shadowing Chinese doctors in a large and busy hospital in Hangzhou, China.  Over the years, I have undertaken a number of additional trainings including Facial Revitalization (both acupuncture and massage/acupressure); pre- and post-natal Tui Na massage; auricular and scalp acupuncture; Tung acupuncture and in medical Qi Gong.

Who am I registered with? Who regulates me?

Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, is an unregulated profession. However there are some key membership bodies that act to assure on standards. I was a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) for many years but decided, along with many other practitioners, to join the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) which automatically makes me a member of the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF). I am also a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).

What conditions can I help with?

By using acupuncture, Tui Na massage and/or Chinese herbal medicine, I am able to address a wide range of health conditions including: gynaecological issues (e.g. PCOS, infertility etc), muscles/tendons/ligaments dysfunctions (e.g. back/neck pain, arthritis, RSI, sciatica etc), digestive disorders (e.g. IBS, Crowns disease etc), mental/emotional problems, insomnia, headaches/migraines, neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, MS etc) and much more. You can read some reviews from my patients here.

What happens during a treatment?

During a treatment I may use acupuncture, Tui Na massage, Cupping and Gua Sha. Gua Sha is a painless scrapping technique to get rid of stubborn painful knots. I may also recommend Chinese herbal medicine, which may be a useful complement to acupuncture or massage.  I always discuss my treatment plan with them.

Would I speak to you informally if you’re not sure whether I can?

Yes of course. Please feel free to contact me directly by email at morganepairain@hotmail.com or by phone (07901725787) if you would like to discuss your particular needs before committing to an appointment with me.
